After obtaining my law degree in Leiden, I worked for an insurance company for several years, where files are the main interest. However, it should revolve around people.

What if you became a victim of a traffic or industrial accident? And because of that accident you have suffered considerable injuries. The most important thing would be to focus on recovery. However, the cost rise and your financial future becomes insecure. The last thing you need are (legal) issues and other difficulties. In a situation like that the assistance and guidance of a personal injury lawyer is of great importance.

I would like to present myself to you. I was born and bred in the bulb-growing area in Holland. During my student days in Leiden I filled several positions in student boards. I then learnt that teamwork and communication are crucial. Both are applicable in my daily practice.

After obtaining my law degree in Leiden, I worked for several insurance companies. Unfortunately, during that time I hardly had any contact with the victims, which felt as a great loss.

That was one of the reasons to join Maarten Tromp Advocaten in 2008. Every story in every case is unique. How victims react and the impact of the events still hits me every time. My know-how enables me to translate their stories into legal perspective.

In order to keep my knowledge up-to-date, I attend various lectures and conferences every year and keep up with the specialist literature. I am a (prospective) member of the Association for Personal Injury Lawyers (LSA – Letselschade Advocaten), the Pan European Organisation of Personal Injury Lawyers (Peopil).

Besides personal injury cases, I have specialized in assisting clients who are being prosecuted for causing a traffic accident, during which accident (severe) injuries were sustained. The Prosecution Council can determine severe punishments. Therefore an outstanding defence is highly important.
